Good occlusal practise provides an important cornerstone to optimal patient care. Occlusal problems can manifest in different areas of dentistry but these are more apparent when there are restorative aspects to the patient’s problem. This review highlights areas of restorative dentistry where the appreciation of occlusal aspects can optimise diagnosis and follow up care. A link to Aws’ paper on Clinical Issues in Occlusion can be found here.

Aws will be speaking on Occlusion at the Key Topics of Restorative Dentistry symposium on Saturday the 7th of September at the BDA, London. He will be joined by three other experts who will discuss contemporary issues attracting 6 hours of CPD.
