I qualified in 2003 from King’s College London. After completing vocational training in Essex and junior hospital positions at Guy’s Hospital and King’s College Hospital I went to the Eastman and completed the Masters programme in Endodontics.
I then moved to Morriston Hospital in South Wales to work in the Maxillofacial Unit, initially as a Senior House Officer before becoming a specialist registrar. After three years in Wales I then went north to Newcastle where I completed specialist training in Restorative Dentistry.
In 2013 I became the International Team for Implantology Scholar in Toronto, Canada, working at the Hospital for Sick Children and Bloorview Kids Rehabiliation Hospital. This was wholly dedicated to treating and rehabilitating patients with congenital anomalies. I returned to London in 2014 to become a full time Consultant in Restorative Dentistry where I see a range of different and challenging restorative problems both referred from primary care and or from the hospital system.
I have previously partaken in relief work in Romania and Ghana with ‘Smiles for Romania’ and ‘Global Brigades’ respectively.
I have published over 40 scientific peer reviewed articles and I maintain an active interest in current clinical issues and research. Previous research achievements include grants from the British Endodontic Society and the Royal College of Surgeons to examine novel tooth filling materials. I am a previous British Society for Restorative Dentistry council member and I currently sit on the British Endodontic Society council. I recently completed a Masters in Medical Law, the dissertation was entitled “Social Media and the Dental Patient: A legal perspective”.
I am the course director for a 2 year operative dentistry diploma course at Kings College London which focuses on the development of hand skills both with additive adhesive techniques and the preparation and design for extra-coronal restorations.
